The fee can be paid by check, debit, or credit card. Parents may also apply for a scholarship at the time of registration. Contact Dr. Kristy Collins at kdivitto@bi.vt.edu with any questions. Lunch and a KTU t-shirt will be given to all registered participants.

Please contact Dr. Kristy Collins at kdivitto@bi.vt.edu for more information about scholarships. On the registration form, make sure the box is checked to apply for the scholarship.

Kids' Tech University costs approximately $300 per child per semester to pay for supplies, meals, and speakers. For this program to continue, we rely on the generous support of our donors. Any contribution is welcome. If you would like to help, please click on the donations button on the right sidebar.

Although we welcome back participants of past programs, we cannot guarantee any child a place until they are registered for the program. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kids' Tech University strives to actively involve its particpants in learning activities after the KTU events. With this is mind, KTU has created the KTU Virtual Lab where KTU participants are able to continue their learning from home. The KTU Virtual Lab has various online labs and activities to keep kids engaged and motivated to learn about STEM disciplines whenever they would like!

We are sorry but there will not be a make up date. No refunds will be issued.

You are signing your child up to attend ALL 4 days: Jan 26, Feb 9, Mar 2, and Mar 30.

Parents will supply their email addresses on the registration form. KTU will send schedules and information to these email addresses.

Please note: You will receive information about the program the Monday before the event date. If you do not receive an agenda, please email Dr. Kristy Collins at kdivitto@bi.vt.edu.

Generally, each program will last from 9:30am to 3:30am. Parents will be emailed with the specific start and end times closer to the program date.

We are striving to create a "university feel" that includes children attending an interactive session with their peers in a university lecture hall. Volunteers will be with the children in the lecture space. Parents are welcome to the watch the interactive session from a different lecture hall on campus, which is within a short walking distance from the children's lecture hall. Due to seat limitations, we do not have space within the children's lecture hall to accommodate parents. After the interactive session, parents must pick up their child and escort him or her to lunch and hands-on activities.

The ratio of volunteers is 1:10. This ensures that children are secure and happy throughout the program.

We have support from the Virginia Tech Police and Rescue Squad to assist in the event of an emergency. We will be in touch via your emergency contact number if any issues arise.

Only registered children may attend the program. If necessary, nursing infants may accompany parents.

Each child will receive a dining card at the end of the interactive session. This card will be pre-loaded with enough money to purchase a meal on campus. The card will only work on the day of the KTU event. We will collect the cards at the beginning of the hands-on activities after lunch and recycle them.

Please note: Parents are responsible for paying for their own meals.
